SH7764 is high-performance microprocessor incorporating SH-4A. SH7764 operates at maximum of 324MHz, and achieves maximum processing performance of 583MIPS. FPU supports single- and double-precision operations, and achieves maximum performance of 2.3 GFLOPS.SH7764 provides hardware support of high-speed processing of audio codecs (WMA/MP3/AAC) and 2D/3D image data, sine/cosine operations and vector arithmetic operations, helping to speed up 3D graphics drawing processing.On-chip peripherals for implementing storage functions include an ATAPI controller, NAND flash controller, and memory card controller. Support for communication functions is provided by an Ethernet controller (10/100BASE-T) and USB interface (full/high-speed). Support for display functions is provided by a 2D graphic engine, LCD controller and digital RGB output function.Utilizing the above functions, SH7764 realizes systems for digital audio and multimedia applications in a single chip, such as home audio equipment and car navigation devices, and enables implementation of high-performance systems at low cost.SH7764 also incorporates other functions including serial sound interface for digital audio playback, serial communication interface with FIFO and I2Cbus interface, facilitating interfacing to peripheral devices.
