Description
The MCP73843 device is highly advanced linear charge management controllers for use in space-limited, cost-sensitive applications. MCP73843 combine high accuracy, constant-voltage, constant-current regulation, cell preconditioning, advanced safety timers, automatic charge termination and charge status indication in space-saving, 8-pin MSOP packages. The MCP73843 provides complete, fully-functional, stand-alone charge management solutions. The MCP73843 is designed for applications utilizing single-cell Lithium-Ion or LithiumPolymer battery packs. Two preset voltage regulation options are available (4.1V and 4.2V) for use with either coke or graphite anodes. The MCP73843 operates with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 12V. The MCP73843 device is fully specified over the ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
