The BQ24742 evaluation module is a complete charger module for evaluating a multicell synchronousnotebook charge and path selection solution using the BQ24742 devices. It is designed to deliver up to6 A of charge current to Li-ion or Li-polymer applications. The charge current is programmable by externalvoltage input.The BQ24742 has a highly integrated battery charge controller designed to work with external hostcommands. The battery voltage, charge current, input current limit, and other system parameters are pinprogrammable.The dynamic power management (DPM) function modifies the charge current depending on system loadconditions, avoiding ac adapter overload.High-accuracy current sense amplifiers enable accurate measurement of the ac adapter current, allowingmonitoring of overall system power.
