The IS31AP2111 is a digital I2S interface audio amplifier capable of driving a pair of 8? speakers at 20W when operating from a 24V supply. Due to its Class-D output drive stage; it can operate without an external heat-sink or fan. The IS31AP2111 integrates advanced audio processing capabilities, such as volume control, 20 bands speaker EQ, audio mixing, 3D surround and Dynamic Range Control (DRC). These functions are fully programmable via a simple I2C control interface. Robust protection circuits are provided to protect the IS31AP2111 from damage due to accidental or erroneous operating conditions. Because of its digital design, the IS31AP2111 is more tolerant to noise and PVT (Process, Voltage, and Temperature) variation than the analog Class-AB or Class-D audio amplifier counterpart. It has a robust anti-pop circuit for pop free operation during power ON. It integrates protection features for short circuit and over temperature. The IS31AP2111 is available in a thermally enhanced eTSSOP-24 package.
