Analog Multiplexer Single 8:1 16-Pin PDIP, DG408DJ, Renesas Electronics

The DG408 Single 8-Channel monolithic CMOS analog multiplexers are drop-inreplacements for the popular DG508A and DG509A seriesdevices. They each include an array of eight analogswitches, a TTL/CMOS compatible digital decode circuit forchannel selection, a voltage reference for logic thresholdsand an ENABLE input for device selection when severalmultiplexers are present. The DG408 feature lower signal ON resistance(<100O) and faster switch transition time (tTRANS < 250ns)compared to the DG508A or DG509A. Charge injection hasbeen reduced, simplifying sample and hold applications. Theimprovements in the DG408 series are made possible byusing a high-voltage silicon-gate process. An epitaxial layerprevents the latch-up associated with older CMOStechnologies. Power supplies may be single-ended from +5Vto +34V, or split from ±5V to ±20V.
